Edmunds Aerospace Deltie Thunder

Well, following my instincts and the R.M.R Buying Frenzy I also ordered the deltie's bigger brother. I said it once and I'll say it again I like the big rockets, and this is deffinatly a BIG rocket!

It's not big in the same way my Sandhawk is big but it's deffinatly big. With a wingspan that's almost a wide as my Initiator is tall it's not a rocket you can easily overlook. Even with it's size th e kit designer claims that it flies great with no test flights!

I did make a few small modifications to "beef" it up for larger engines. I followed the included instructions and also added small triangular pieces of balsa underneth the suggested additions. I also added some small "biscuits" where the fuselage joins to the wings, and finally I took a little bit of time to carefully sand the nose and leading edge of the hook on the booster.

CURRENT STATUS:
The Glider is fully assembled, and the booster is almost finished. I did accidentally cut the shroud lines on the chute one time too many and that's all that's keeping me from flying. As soon as I can find some more shroud lines and hook up the chute th is bird is ready to fly...of course I should also build the suggested launchpad.
